It is tomorrow that we’ll reveal the winners of the “Flavors&Senses – The Best for 2014”. For the first time with a ceremony, to be realized at Restaurant Casa Vasco, one of the new in town. This year we chose to create a new concept, with new awarded categories and an extended group of voters, between gastronomes, journalists, chefs, entrepreneurs and wine producers.
This year we attribute 10 awards: Restaurant of the Year, Signature Restaurant, Traditional Restaurant, Trendy Restaurant, Revelation Restaurant, Wine & Tappas, Chef of the Year, Chef to Watch, Entrepreneur of the Year and Gourmet Store.
Besides this awards we also attribute another 2 international ones, that only reflect our experiences and reports of the Blog, and we’ll award the Best Hotel (where we stayed during 2013) and Best Experience (where we’ll award the best meal we had last year).
With this ceremony we intend to grow up and create an award that not only promotes Porto but also all the North region, so many times forgotten, obliviousness that also reflects in the gastronomy. We want to advertise and disclose in a more binding way the best that is made in the cuisine of Porto, in a unique initiative that promotes restaurants, its chefs and also the Tourism.
For that we have the sponsorship of Niepoort – a wine brand of Porto and Douro, unique and irreverent that didn’t hesitate to support the project; of Quinta do Crasto – creator of some of the most emblematic Douro wines; and of the Martino & Jaña atelier.
The ceremony begins at 18h00 and the winners we’ll be published on the blog during the night.
