New town, new experience, another exciting trip and another cozy, discrete and young hotel. This time, Amsterdam, matching this beautiful and relaxed city we met Dwars Hotel.
Located in the town center, this hotel presents a typical Dutch architecture with no hotel looks at all, being a classic home completely converted. On arrival we were very well received, in a polite but very relaxed way, making us feel at home. That’s the goal of the hotel, hosting young tourists that though not having a big budget, can’t give up comfort and hospitality.
The hotel is small and cozy, family style, having just 9 bedrooms, creatively identified! Basically, the sensation is that we arrived at a friend’s full of taste home, willing to host us for some time.
The rooms, like the rest of the hotel and the customer service, are super simple, modern, cozy, and lovely, the decoration is in charge of the bloggers “Things I Like Things I Love“.
Our room was full of textures, the furniture a mixture between modern and vintage, giving it a casual touch but appealing at the same time, with bright and joyful colors, the brick wall and the sea green curtains mixed with mustard yellow create a pleasant environment.
For being small, the hotel doesn’t have a breakfast area, so we have coffee and tea available in the rooms to serve ourselves at ease, and there’s information in the hotel corridors about the coffee shops and restaurants in the neighborhood for us to check, interesting idea and above all very practical.
Basically, Dwars works almost as a Bed & Breakfast, very well located, with a modern and jovial environment, without perks or requirements, becoming the perfect hotel to young couples or friends looking to discover Amsterdam’s center, staying in a space created at the image of the city.
See you soon Dwars!
