Continuing our exciting trip to Paris…
We went to know the Le Madison, an elegant boutique hotel in one of the most privileged areas of Paris, the Rive Gauche, right in front of Saint-Germain-des-Près church, very close to some of the most emblematic coffees in town, Les Deux Magots and Café de Flore, shops from masters like Pierre Hermé or Patrick Roger, and of course, the important fashion boutiques of Boulevard Saint Germain.
This art model is part of Les Hotels Maurice Hurand, a group with more than a century of history that detains four more hotels that practice a philosophy of an exclusive luxury experience, culture, personalized service and sophistication.
But, back to Le Madison Hotel, which exists since 1925 and belongs to the group since 1985, it is a place for culture, art and literature lovers, or wouldn’t it be the hotel where the famous author Albert Camus finished his book “L’Etranger” during the 40’s.
This intimate hotel is an amazing Haussman building which demonstrates Paris elegance from the Napoleon time, with a contemporary and comfy touch.
It was totally renewed in 2010 by the hands of the architect and interior designer Denis Doistau, consecrating 50 bedrooms and offering the guests a sensation of absorption between the past and present in every corner.
Speaking of bedrooms, they have an incredible design, modern, sophisticated, combining colors with textures, and light with vibrant shadows, with comfort and luxury in every detail, namely the ceiling with a light system that reminds a starry sky.
One of the hotel’s ex-Libris is its elegant breakfast room, where a varied range of local and biological produce are served, this room transforms into a refuge, during the day, to a lot of Parisians that seek calm and refinement to appreciate a tea or a glass of wine around the fireplace.
It is important to refer that since 2012, Madison Hotel associated with a more sustainable development through a series of measures that privilege the use of natural sources and environmental friendly actions.
Without doubt we are before a hotel that handles culture and art in a continuous way, and although we did not get watch, we know that Madison Hotel regularly organizes jazz nights, literature awards events, art exhibitions.
One of the strengths that couldn’t be left unnoticed is the service, completely personalized, moreover we were received by a polyglot employee, with an excellent Portuguese, that made us feel at home.
Concluding, Madison Hotel has a privileged location and even with its great ambiance of art, culture, literature and sophistication it’s able to be, at the same time, an extremely comfy place.
