The city is the home of some of the main bars in the world, and much in particular of the bar that&#8217;s been elected, four years in a row now, as the best in the world, the<em>\u00a0Artesian<\/em>\u00a0of the hotel <em>The\u00a0Langham<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>The Langham<\/em>\u00a0doesn&#8217;t need introductions, in the eyes of the world for being the house where the famous and &#8220;very decent&#8221; Bradley Cooper sets his restaurant\u00a0<em>&#8220;Adam at The Langham&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0in search of the 3 Michelin stars! Fiction apart, the reason of our visit was the <em>Artesian<\/em>, gladly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The bar was completely designed by the famous Londoner architect David Collins, with basis in the dreams and &#8220;delusions&#8221; of Alex Kratena and Simone Caporale, the Head Bartenders of the <em>Artisian<\/em> these past years. The bold decoration in violet and blue tones, and pieces that could be jewelry, serve as stage for a unique show.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Artesian-9.jpg\" rel=\"mfp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9798\" src=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Artesian-9.jpg\" alt=\"Artesian - 9\" width=\"540\" height=\"540\" srcset=\"https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Artesian-9.jpg 540w, https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Artesian-9-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Artesian-9-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a>On their last menu (Kratena and Caporale left the Artisian in the end of 2015), the subject was the <em>Surrealism<\/em>, and that reflects on the glasses where the cocktails are served, some of them true art works, exclusively created for Alex Kratena, who always gave extreme importance to the glasses, considering them a way to communicate with the client and not only as a mere beverage container.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the room, having in account we went in the evening, we breath the cosmopolitan spirit of the city, the luxury and a very particular hustle and bustle, between good music, elegant people and a unique service.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Artesian-8.jpg\" rel=\"mfp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9797 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Artesian-8.jpg\" alt=\"Artesian - 8\" width=\"540\" height=\"540\" srcset=\"https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Artesian-8.jpg 540w, https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Artesian-8-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Artesian-8-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a><em><span style=\"color: #999999;\">\u00a0Chameleon Cristals #feelingamazing\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We started the cocktail rounds with the\u00a0<em>Chameleon Cristals, <\/em>a surprise box, we must make a wish before opening it and an intense light and smoke, immediatly transporting to us other worlds, comes out. The beverage, with a basis on\u00a0<em>Tanqueray n\u00ba10, Pisco, lime, chili amd soy <\/em>is\u00a0impressive in its freshness and balance, creating an harmonious and flawless combo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Accompanying, a less exuberant\u00a0<em>You&#8217;re So Gangsta, <\/em>presented in an elegant flute, made with\u00a0Vodka Grey Goose, Yuzu, litchi, ginseng and rose. A drink that transports us to the Orient, full of elegance and mastery.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Artesian-10.jpg\" rel=\"mfp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9799 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Artesian-10.jpg\" alt=\"Artesian - 10\" width=\"540\" height=\"720\" srcset=\"https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Artesian-10.jpg 540w, https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Artesian-10-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a><span style=\"color: #999999;\">\u00a0<em>You&#8217;re So Gangsta (#Feelinglikeaboss)<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Accompanying the <em>cocktails<\/em>\u00a0we couldn&#8217;t miss the snacks from the SNAX menu, a small list of appetizers created by Chef Chris King, with the consultancy of the famous\u00a0Michel Roux Jr., to allow a light meal while the drinks shine. We tasted a great S<em><strong>hrimp with panko, coconut and avocado<\/strong><\/em>, some small cones with<em><strong> Tuna Tartar, tomato, basil and pine nuts<\/strong><\/em>, a fresh combination that went very well with this first round of drinks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9791\" src=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Artesian-2.jpg\" alt=\"Artesian - 2\" width=\"540\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Artesian-2.jpg 540w, https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Artesian-2-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><span style=\"color: #999999;\">Tuna Tartar, tomato, basil and pine nuts<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Followed more cocktails and more impressive presentations, like the\u00a0<em>Anti Hero<\/em>, a drink with stronger flavors than the first ones, made with <em>Don Julio Reposado, muscat, blood orange\u00a0and smoke. <\/em>Brilliantlly presented in a species of Legos in the shape of an elephant.
