Something difficult in wine producing countries, like the ones we&#8217;ve been visiting, but always with an excellent outcome.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Ladegustation-3.jpg\" rel=\"mfp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8800\" src=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Ladegustation-3.jpg\" alt=\"Ladegustation - 3\" width=\"540\" height=\"361\" srcset=\"https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Ladegustation-3.jpg 540w, https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Ladegustation-3-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Ladegustation-2.jpg\" rel=\"mfp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8799\" src=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Ladegustation-2.jpg\" alt=\"Ladegustation - 2\" width=\"540\" height=\"361\" srcset=\"https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Ladegustation-2.jpg 540w, https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Ladegustation-2-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a><span style=\"color: #999999;\"><em>A toast with a LBV 2011 and the team of La Degustation (*Michelin), in Prague\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We started our trip in Prague, where the presence of Portuguese wines little or nothing is felt, with exception for some brands of Port wine, of good quality but usually served in a not so flattering way to our precious nectar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We started our visit by <em>La Degustation<\/em>\u00a0(<a title=\"La Degustation\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/en\/la-degustation\/\">see<\/a>), where we made a brilliant harmonization of the dishes with natural juices, homemade, so we had to leave a toast to the end, with the entire team of the restaurant. A wine that represents quite well its awarded year, with an intense color and dark fruit notes, with a mouth able to seduce and captivate all those who tasted it and to it surrendered.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Edvard-9.jpg\" rel=\"mfp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9141\" src=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Edvard-9.jpg\" alt=\"Edvard - 9\" width=\"540\" height=\"808\" srcset=\"https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Edvard-9.jpg 540w, https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Edvard-9-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a><span style=\"color: #999999;\"><em>Redoma Branco 2014<\/em> at\u00a0<em>Edvard<\/em> (*Michelin) in Vienna\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From Prague we headed to Vienna, where once again the presence of Portuguese wines doesn&#8217;t go further than the Port wines, here with special foccus on the great wines of the region, the <em>Vintage<\/em>, the <em>LBV<\/em> and<em> Tawnys<\/em> over 20 years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At\u00a0<em>Edvard<\/em>\u00a0(<a title=\"Edvard\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/en\/edvard\/\">see<\/a>), the starred restaurant of the <em>Kempinski<\/em> Hotel, our challenge was taken quite seriously (moreover, the work of the <em>sommelier<\/em>, Marcel Ribis, harmonizing the entire meal was one of the best we experienced recently), with the chef preparing a dish, off the menu, specifically for the <em>Redoma Branco<\/em>, in a great combo of Pumpkin and <em>Tallegio<\/em> cheese. A beautiful moment! Where the mineral side and the elegance with which the barrel gave structure to the wine without overlapping, complemented very well the intensity of the <em>Tallegio<\/em>, as well as the freshness of the herb sauce and the several textures of pumpkin!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Konstantin-25.jpg\" rel=\"mfp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9360\" src=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Konstantin-25.jpg\" alt=\"Konstantin - 25\" width=\"540\" height=\"808\" srcset=\"https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Konstantin-25.jpg 540w, https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Konstantin-25-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a><span style=\"color: #999999;\">The <em>Senior Tawny<\/em> decided to pay an homage to the chef Konstantin Filippou (*Michelin &#8211; Vienna)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From <em>Edvard<\/em>, we passed to the room of <em>Konstantin Filippou<\/em> (<a title=\"Konstantin Filippou\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/en\/konstantin-filippou\/\">see<\/a>), chef of the year 2016 in Austria by the guide <em>Gault and Millau<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Another great tasting of\u00a0dishes with a strong creative side and an harmonization with natural wines from small producers. When receiving our challenge, the <em>sommelier<\/em> was a bit apprehensive for thinking he wouldn&#8217;t have a dish to pair with a <em>Douro<\/em> red, because he had in mind some more heavy and powerful wines of the region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After tasting the wine &#8211; <em>Redoma Tinto 2013<\/em> &#8211; he understood <em>Dirk Niepoort&#8217;s <\/em>signature, where elegance overlaps concentration and potency, creating wines that make us want to drink a bottle or two.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Konstantin-6.jpg\" rel=\"mfp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9342\" src=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Konstantin-6.jpg\" alt=\"Konstantin - 6\" width=\"540\" height=\"808\" srcset=\"https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Konstantin-6.jpg 540w, https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Konstantin-6-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a>So, his choice went to an\u00a0<em>Iberian Pork \u201cpresa\u201d, black pudding, corn, cheese and kumquat<\/em><em>, <\/em>which was very pleasant to accompany with the<em> redoma, <\/em>which complexity of aromas and flavors ballanced brilliantly in the dish.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The\u00a0Port<em> The Senior Tawny \u00a0<\/em>served also to celebrate the chef, his team and the wonderful meal we had at<em>\u00a0Konstantin Filippou.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From Vienna we went to Budapest and with us, also a <em>Port White 10 years<\/em>, which would serve, in a bit provoking touch, to show our amazing White Port right next to the<em> Tokaj<\/em> wines.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/tanti-4.jpg\" rel=\"mfp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9520\" src=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/tanti-4.jpg\" alt=\"tanti - 4\" width=\"540\" height=\"808\" srcset=\"https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/tanti-4.jpg 540w, https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/tanti-4-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a><span style=\"color: #999999;\">Niepoort 10 years White at Tanti&#8217;s table (*Michelin)<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We took this wine to <em>Tanti<\/em> (<a title=\"Tanti *\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/en\/tanti\/\">see<\/a>), the most recent starred restaurant in Budapest, a unique Port as a gift to the young chef <em>Oliver Heiszler\u00a0<\/em>and his team.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After some nice days and fantastic wines, around three of the most beautiful Central European cities, we went to Madrid, more precisely to <em>El Club Allard<\/em> (<a title=\"El Club Allard\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/en\/el-club-allard\/\">see<\/a>), the restaurant with two Michelin stars, where\u00a0<em>Mar\u00eda Marte<\/em>\u00a0creates a fusion between her Dominican roots and the Spanish <em>haute cuisine<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/casallard-1.jpg\" rel=\"mfp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9695 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/casallard-1.jpg\" alt=\"casallard - 1\" width=\"540\" height=\"808\" srcset=\"https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/casallard-1.jpg 540w, https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/casallard-1-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a><em><span style=\"color: #999999;\">Niepoort Redoma 2014 in Madrid at El Club Allard (**Michelin)<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The\u00a0<em>Redoma Reserva Branco 2014<\/em>\u00a0is a wine I can&#8217;t get tired of, fresh, mineral, with an addictive acidity and a perfect structure to accompany the elegant dishes of \u00a0Mar\u00eda Marte.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/casallard-9.jpg\" rel=\"mfp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9703 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/casallard-9.jpg\" alt=\"casallard - 9\" width=\"540\" height=\"361\" srcset=\"https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/casallard-9.jpg 540w, https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/casallard-9-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a><em><span style=\"color: #999999;\">&#8220;Ocean Rice&#8221;
