Our last home during this amazing trip through Prague, Vienna and Budapest was the\u00a0InterContinental Budapeste<\/em>, which revealed to have\u00a0the best view over the city. With the Buda Castle<\/em> showing up on the other side of the Danube!<\/p>\n

InterContinental Budapeste<\/em>, with several years of experience in the art of welcoming, is strategically located on the Pest side, in front of the complex of the Buda Castle, with a wonderful view to it and to the imposing\u00a0Sz\u00e9chenyl L\u00e1nch\u00edd Bridge<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Besides these two spots, the hotel also has the particularity of being located near to one of the most famous streets in town,\u00a0V\u00e1ci Utca<\/em>, full of coffee shops, restaurants, stores, bars, bookstores, and lots of animation! One of the oldest and well\u00a0known in the city.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

First Impression:<\/strong>
\nFollowing what I was saying, even before entering the hotel, we can rejoice with the incomparable beauty of the Buda Castle, which by itself is impressive enough.<\/p>\n

Already inside, we find the usual bustle of urban and business hotels of the InterContinental Group, full of old and future guests, being effectively taken care off.<\/p>\n

The hotel, besides being old and elegant, gives a modern and current touch, with details of the past. Maximum score to the amazing wood wall, in front of the elevators, with several sculpted figures, making us feel like kids again!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Lounge of the Club InterContinental<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

After this first observation over the hotel, we are kindly forwarded to the reception, and welcomed by the team who sent us to the private\u00a0check-in<\/em>\u00a0of the\u00a0Club InterContinental<\/em>\u00a0(I can’t get tired of saying how much this service is worth it). We were accompanied to the reception of the\u00a0InterContinental CLub Lounge,<\/em>\u00a0we made the\u00a0check-in,<\/em>\u00a0comfortably seated, and were offered a drink while it took place, and the employee gave\u00a0us a lot of ideas to our visit around the city.<\/p>\n

After the\u00a0check-in,<\/em>\u00a0we were accompanied to our bedroom.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Bedrooms:<\/strong>
\nSpeaking of bedrooms, there are 402, of different types,\u00a0Classic Rooms, Superior Rooms, Deluxe Rooms, and Suites (Junior, Executive and Presidential).<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We stayed in a wonderful\u00a0Deluxe, <\/em>with which I fell in love right away, with a direct view to the Castle, the Bridge and the\u00a0Gell\u00e9rt\u00a0<\/em>Hill, we arrived at the hotel in the middle of the afternoon, so two hours later, the lights of the Castle and the Bridge lit to illuminate our souls with so much beauty.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

In the bedroom we had waiting for us some fruit, wine and sweets, and a comforting warm environment that instantly made us relax.<\/p>\n

The bed was huge and soft, the pillows giant as I like, and the modern environment of the decoration was perfectly allied to sophistication and comfort.<\/p>\n

Less positive note to the bathroom, quite small, at least for me, as you know I have a fetish for this room!<\/p>\n

However it had all the amenities needed to assure a perfect stay.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Didn’t I say the room had the best view over the city?<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Noteworthy that once we were covered by the Club InterContinental<\/em>, everyday of our stay was filled with small pamperings, delicious scones, or a wonderful apple pie accompanied with chocolate sauce.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Restaurants\/Bars:<\/strong>
\nThe hotel has two gastronomical options, the Corso Restaurant<\/em>\u00a0and the\u00a0Corso Bar<\/em>, both fitted with terraces with the best view over the city (I can’t get tired of saying this!).<\/p>\n

\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The first option serves the best we can find in the Hungarian gastronomy, combined with current and creative techniques. It’s also the space of breakfast, where we could enjoy a huge selection of treats, from the Hungarian charcuterie to the sweets and the most varied egg dishes.<\/p>\n

It has a relaxed environment with the elegance of the city, naked of\u00a0pretentiousness, ideal for family or business meals.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

As to the Corso Bar,<\/em>\u00a0its cosmopolitan environment and its piano make the honors of the house, ideal in the evenings and nights, to enjoy a good wine or a cocktail, delighting yourselves with the city with all the lights.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Services:<\/strong>
\nThe usuals of a luxury hotel are there, of course, like the Room Service, Concierge, Limousine,<\/em>\u00a0transfer to and from the airport, laundry, ATM, possibility of bringing animals, among others.<\/p>\n

As I said,\u00a0InterContinental Budapest<\/em> is,\u00a0<\/em>by excellence, a business hotel, so the first floor has 12 rooms fully equiped to receive between 10 to 850 people for congresses, conferences, weddings and diverse parties.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Concerning comfort and relaxation, the hotel doesn’t disappoint, so, also on the first floor, we have the Spa InterContinental<\/em>, constituted by a warm pool, sauna, Turkish bath, a 24h gym and a series of individual rooms where it is possible to experience relaxation treatments inspired in the Hungarian traditions of the famous thermal baths.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I coudn’t fail to remind you (I know I do it every time I write about the InterContinental Group!), to the frequent clients of the group, InterContinental Budapest presents the Club InterContinental, with its pleasant Club Lounge on the 1st floor, with library, internet access, international newspapers, printer, fresh beverages throughout the day, breakfast and a selection of alcoholic drinks and snacks in the evening. As I previously said in other articles, for $200\/year you can have access to this kind of\u00a0lounge, <\/em>private and quicker\u00a0check-in and check-out<\/em>\u00a0and an\u00a0up-grade in the bedroom typology, in any stay on the hotels of the group.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Service:\u00a0<\/strong>
\nDespite being a business hotel, with the typical always present bustle, the team is very well prepared (probably very well used to!) and responds to our needs without any trouble.<\/p>\n

They were quite helpful with the organization of our guide to visit the city, with important tips, only possible to give by those who know the city, and always available with smiles on their faces.<\/p>\n

InterContinental Budapeste<\/em>\u00a0is already an hotel landmark in the city, being awarded for three years in a row, with the high distinction of the\u00a0World Travel Awards of Hungary\u00b4s Leading Business Hotel<\/em>, and also won, this year, the\u00a0Hall of Fame<\/em>, given by\u00a0Tripadvisor<\/em>\u00a0for having the Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years.<\/p>\n

Besides all this merit, it is, since 2013, an hotel with the\u00a0Green Globe<\/em>\u00a0certificate, the global certification for sustainable tourism. The certification is reserved only to companies and organizations committed to do positive contributions for the people and the planet.<\/p>\n
