Just around 45 minutes away from the center of Paris, whether by RER<\/em> (you should catch the RER C5<\/em>) or with a private driver (know more in Blacklane<\/a>),\u00a0we can find one of the world\u2019s masterpieces, the Ch\u00e2teau de Versailles<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\"Paris2011<\/a>Started by the \u201ccrazy\u201d Louis XIV, the Sun King (maybe that\u2019s why the palace is so golden) in 1664, this art work deludes our eyes with its dimension and opulence. It holds an incredible collection of royalty treasures, and probably one of the most elegant and grand gardens in Paris.<\/p>\n

On your agenda should be the visit to the Palace, to the Grand Trianon<\/em> (small pink marble palace, inspired in Italian architecture), and the Domaine Marie Antoinette<\/em>, with its palace and gardens, which allowed the queen to live apart from the rest of the court in a more rustic environment.<\/p>\n

Where to buy the Ticket:
\n– The official site of the Palace<\/a>
\n– The Paris Tourist Office
\n– Or use the Museum Pass (in another article we\u2019ll recommend for you to acquire it)<\/p>\n

The ideal is to get to the Palace as early as possible, in particular if you travel during the warmer months, otherwise you\u2019ll find immense lines to buy the ticket, to do the interior visit of the Palace (you should enter before 10 am or then after 3 pm \u2013 taking advantage of the morning to see the other attractions (Trianon<\/em> and Domain Marie Antoinette<\/em>)).<\/p>\n

– In case you chose got to Versailles<\/em> by RER<\/em> you should go on the RER C5<\/em> (with passage in several Parisian stations) and leave at the Versailles Rive Gauche<\/em> station.<\/p>\n

– The Palace has some Cafes, like Angelina<\/em> or Ladur\u00e9e<\/em> and some restaurants and fast food kiosks, so you don\u2019t have to worry about leaving the Palace for your meals.<\/p>\n
