It is considered the most beautiful of Paris, and the 15 stained glass windows, with 15 meters of height to the ceiling, contribute to that.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Paris2011-45.jpg\" rel=\"mfp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6772\" src=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Paris2011-45.jpg\" alt=\"Paris2011 - 45\" width=\"540\" height=\"436\" srcset=\"https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Paris2011-45.jpg 540w, https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Paris2011-45-300x242.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a><span style=\"color: #999999;\"><em>Panth\u00e9on<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On with our walk (today is going to be a long one), a little below these two historical marks, we find another imposing building, the Pantheon, worth of receiving the remains of some of the biggest personalities of the country, like Voltaire, Louis Braille and Victor Hugo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Erected as a church by Louis XV, dedicated to <em>Saint Genoveva<\/em> to thank the recovery of a gout attack, the idea was for it to resemble the greatness of Rome\u2019s Pantheon, but the result fell short, being however a beautiful monument.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Paris2011-12.jpg\" rel=\"mfp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6767\" src=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Paris2011-12.jpg\" alt=\"Paris2011 - 12\" width=\"540\" height=\"405\" srcset=\"https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Paris2011-12.jpg 540w, https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Paris2011-12-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a><span style=\"color: #999999;\"><em>Sorbonne<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Furthermore, the Pantheon is inserted in the famous area of Paris\u2019 University, <em>Sorbonne<\/em>, and all the territory of the interesting <em>Quartier Latin<\/em>, with its stores, bars and youth. Built in 1900 for the Paris exposition, was used just until 1939, and in 1977 it was converted into a museum.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Here it\u2019s possible to find works from some of the world\u2019s most admirable artists, like Van Gogh, Monet and Degas, besides some wonderful and insightful temporary expositions.<br \/>\nIt\u2019s one of my favorite museums.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1445 alignnone aligncenter\" title=\"pierre herm\u00e9-3\" src=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/pierre-herme%CC%81-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"664\" \/><em><span style=\"color: #999999;\">To finish in an almost pornographic way, the Ispahan from Pierre Herm\u00e9.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Another day full of art, culture and glamour! But there\u2019s a lot more to do in Paris!
