The <em>Sunday Market<\/em> is, like the name says, a market that happens every Sunday between 4 pm and midnight, occupying the heart of the old city, between the <em>Tha Pae Gate<\/em> and the <em>Ratchadamnoen<\/em> Street. The transit is cut and the streets are filled by artisans, traders, artists and of course, lots of food.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Chiang-Mai-55.jpg\" rel=\"mfp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6168\" src=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Chiang-Mai-55.jpg\" alt=\"Chiang Mai - 55\" width=\"540\" height=\"810\" srcset=\"https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Chiang-Mai-55.jpg 540w, https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Chiang-Mai-55-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a>The streets get crowded with tourists and locals; everyone gets out to the streets to enjoy their Sunday evening (much better than staying at home watching reality shows). One of the mandatory stops are the foot massages, with a duration of 30 minutes to an hour and with very symbolic prices (similar to everything else in the market), it is a unique experience, both\u00a0because of the relaxation or simply for the\u00a0environment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At <em>Sunday Market<\/em> and opposed to, for example, the <em>Night Bazzaar<\/em>, we find a wide range of artisans and products much more exclusive from the north of Thailand, instead of the usual fakes. From little sculpted Buddha\u2019s, to essential oils, spices, silks, silverware, paintings or simple toys, there\u2019s a bit of everything for every taste.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Chiang-Mai-68.jpg\" rel=\"mfp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6179\" src=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Chiang-Mai-68.jpg\" alt=\"Chiang Mai - 68\" width=\"540\" height=\"810\" srcset=\"https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Chiang-Mai-68.jpg 540w, https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Chiang-Mai-68-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a>On to the food, it is possible to find a bit of everything, from smoothies (there must be some kind of fascination with smoothies there), seafood dishes and skewers, fried chicken, the popular and comforting Thai soups and of course dishes like <em>Khao soi<\/em> (coconut curry with egg noodles and chicken),<em> Som Tom Thai<\/em> (green papaya salad) or the famous <em>Pad Thai<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Chiang-Mai-56.jpg\" rel=\"mfp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-6169\" src=\"https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Chiang-Mai-56-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Chiang Mai - 56\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Chiang-Mai-56-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Chiang-Mai-56-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Chiang-Mai-56.jpg 540w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Chiang-Mai-69.jpg\" rel=\"mfp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-6180\" src=\"https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Chiang-Mai-69-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Chiang Mai - 69\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Chiang-Mai-66.jpg\" rel=\"mfp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-6177\" src=\"https:\/\/flavorsandsenses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Chiang-Mai-66-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Chiang Mai - 66\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Everything is irresistible, the flavor, the price, just search for the sellers with most locals around them, they know where to eat . To the bravest, there are also a bugs, crickets, cockroaches and larvae sellers next to the <em>Phra Singh Temple<\/em>.
